Any idea if Wyze will release a Cam Pan V4?

I have a Cam V3 and a Cam V4, and I love the 2.5K resolution of the V4. I’m considering getting a Cam Pan for the back of the garage (facing the alleyway). I see the Pan V3 is 1080p. If Wyze is working on a newer model with 2.5K, I may just wait. Does anyone know?

I saw someone suggested selling the cameras that come with the floodlight v2/pro models as standalone units. The V4 has a very limited FOV. Those cameras have very-wide angle lenses and are already 2.5K.

Edit - How wide?

I have a floodlight V2 covering a 3-car garage. I can see the entire driveway, plus the sidewalk and the entire width of the 2 garage doors. I know if any of the garage door is open.

One has to assume there will be a 2.5K one at some point, but I haven’t seen any info confirming if/when.

I’m still holding out my “pipe dream” Panv5 Pro

bump, don’t let it die! I need one right now.

While I do love the FOV on my V2 flood light its image quality is so much worse than my V4 cameras. My DuO Cam doorbell has the same 2k resolution and it’s even worse than my V2 Flood. I wish Wyze would use whatever sensor they are using in the V4 camera as it’s so much better especially in lowlight compared to all of their other models. Honestly the “Color Night” vision on my Duo Cam doorbell is plain God Awful!

I hope soon, I like the Wyze app and v2 pan cameras I have now but really want a 2.5k pan camera. I even contiplated taking my busted pan v2 apart and see if I could swap the guys on my v4 camera. I updated one of my pans to a Tapa 520WS and the image quality is so much better.

I would buy a pan cam with a v4 cam immediately. I already have a PC v2. Please make one!

Can we add more tags to this? Like v4? Or does the OP control that?

  • Yes, Please make a Pan V4 Camera.
  • No, I don’t like nice things.
