User since 2018. V2 cameras operated ok. Nice to get clearer image so bought one v4 and had trouble getting it to load images on by Samsung Galaxy A13. Thought maybe need to update the app so deleted it and then find out that the newer app available (W on it) will not work with my A13, so now you have just reduced ALL my other V2 cameras to trash! Ridiculous that there is no backwards compatibilty.
I can return the V4 thru Amazon. THIS IS LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I recently paid for CAM PLUS for one yr and now cannot use, so want a rebate for the unused time
Your A13 is forced to run in 32-bit mode and the Google Play store will no longer host a 32-bit-only app. You can restore your 32-bit version of the Wyze app by sideloading the old version 2.50.x or earlier version from a mirror site like like APKMirror.
Please note that the old Android 2.50.x and older app versions will not work with late-model Wyze cams. Some late-model cams will work with older app versions, but you’ll need to flash the firmware back a version or two. And that will only be a temporary solution as the world’s security framework changes and cuts you off. Your only and ultimate solution is something you probably don’t want to hear… use a 64-bit viewing device.
Edit: Also, if you sideload an older app version to your A13, you can flash your Cam v4 firmware back to 4.52.9.3415 and it will work fine.
Agreed, you should really contact Samsung and complain. Their crippling of that phone means there are a lot of apps you can’t run, and more coming out every day.
