What’s everyone thoughts and experiences on the battery cam pro? Thinking of getting it to Replace my WCO that no longer charges. It was on the eave of my garage connected to a solar panel overlooking the driveway.
Any Pros and cons you all are seeing with the BCP
Pro - Install with a solar panel or hardwire it to maximize usage.
Con - Falls short when on battery only. Does not live up to advertised 6 months.
I have had one since they released. I have it on solar panel. I wish to use the flood light at times to try to observe wild life or other times but the light will not stay on. It goes off in a few seconds after I turn it on. I have tried ALL setting combos to no avail. I want to record continuously ar times for say 30 seconds to capture video of some event but not allowed. I would like humidity and temp but they have so far refused to add that feature to any camera after 1000’s of requests. I’d like a user established set point adj. that would alert me of battery level and/or shut down camera before it totally drained battery.
It seems to have less wifi strength than other model wyze cameras. 50 feet line of site struggles whereas the v3 pan tilt cams I have reach 150-200 feet down the driveway. Battery Cam supports 2.4 and 5 but I use 2.4 with better success.

Thanks Bob. Good info. Hopefully the new product release will have something that wilL WOW us. The BCP is a couple years old now so it’s time for an update from them. Fingers crossed. I feel naked not having a camera at that point now but I don’t want to buy just to have a replacement that may not be as good
