Please go see for yourself

Same here still majority area out

This is one of those things that’s keeping me from buying their lock and their thermostat…. No back up…!

Can’t believe Wyze plugs failed in “ON” state!!!
Fire hazard if connected to devices with heating elements.

Perhaps some quality time spent on making sure the products work while Jeff Bezos is refueling his [Mod Edit] rocket ship may be in order. I’ve been a Wyze customer since the beginning, and it is getting worse now. Here’s a thought, stop wasting time on spamming customers who paid for a product to sell services that we don’t need, and instead direct your focus on stability…especially when connections go down. Sinking everything in AWS is not a good idea. Everyone and their Mother attacks AWS. Instead, go with a smaller host. Stop feeding the beast. Amazon doesn’t care about anyone or anything other than lining the pockets of King Bezos. If making people work in a building that collapses during a hurricane isn’t enough proof, then you don’t really have much intelligence. /rant

Ope

Hard to believe, I know, but that is his actual… No, I’m not going to say it.

Wyze bulb V 5.0 - Not cloud dependent.

Cute! And I would actually cry if this went down.

Sounds like someone thought something of their own didn’t stink. I would love to listen in on the zoom calls over at AWS right now. I’m sure its a party.

Thank you for continuing to engage with folks here, having to deal with a surge of unhappy customers is never fun. I’ve been there.

boots on the ground report:
I have a few dozen plugs running various things around the house and none of them are currently working. I’m getting some well needed exercise doing this weird thing called pushing a button, which I am thankful that these plugs have. Not to mention while doing this I am learning how much I become accustomed to the convenience of using these devices.

Fun fact:
Last year around about this time there was a less dramatic outage that affected rules engine. This also caused chaos around here since I have several crucial rules programmed to make all of my outdoor lighting work during the holidays and none of it worked right for a few days.

Maybe this will give mgmt the push they need to approve development of the local control option that undoubtedly a few devs have been chomping at the bit to implement.

If this kind of stuff continues to happen I will likely start looking to move to a more robust platform to meet my needs. I’m just along for the ride right now though.

12/15/21 7:03 PM PT - AWS is still working on mitigation for the remaining issues. We’ll let you know when we hear more!

My night lights are working because they’re not connected.

A quick Google search says AWS has gone down 27 times this year.

Blowing the candles out and going to bed.

…………you cover 3rd shift :joy_cat:

You get what you pay for!!!

What Kind of Compensation is WYZE offering to Customers who have lost service for multiple days?

Save money, lose future customers. Also lose current customers due to these issues

I don’t eat sugary deserts… sorry

My lights and outlets are not working. I haven’t tried the camera yet. I do have a wise lock and it is working. At least automatically locking when the door is closed. I have never been able to get it to reliably lock using location or any other trigger. Even unlocking when I approach my door is hit or miss and has been since the beginning. For the price, it’s worth the hassle. If I’d paid any more, it would have been returned long ago. I was considering the security system, but not anymore.
