Experiencing Audio Lag during both recording view and playback view from within the mobile app. I saw a post from July 2019 regarding this and a response about a firmware update but no follow up. Any updates on this issue or a way to fix this on user’s end?
I’m not seeing the audio lag issue on my Android 9.0 phone using Wyze app v2.7.19. I believe this issue was most pronounced on older phones because they have the most difficulty keeping up with video decoding. Changing the quality to 360p was an effective workaround. What version of the Wyze app are you running and what phone are you using?
The original issue in July was caused by the removal of the “Hardware decoding” option due to Google’s updated policy regarding 32-bit apps, The latest version of the app should have much improved performance, though some very old phones may still have some lag.
