I have and use my original scale and its app. I bought the new ultra and installed its app. They overwrite each other! You can’t have two scales apparently. Keep the scales separate!

Good to know.

Seems like further work needs to be done.

Overwrite or create multiple records to the same Wyze account? All of my scales record separate records, but to the same account, which is what I prefer. Would be nice to have a user selectable options in the app though.

I’m confused about why a second app would be involved. Is this a reference to a Wyze app update or a completely different app? Is the “original scale” actually a Wyze Scale or something else? What’s being overwritten? Are scales from two different manufacturers (using two different apps) linking to a third-party service and having some kind of conflict there?

To all,

When first configuring the Ultra I made a junior mistake, I named the Ultra same as my existing scale. I was pleased as the ultra already seemed to know my weight, height etc. Then I noticed that the weight on each scale was “exactly” the same.

My brain said not possible. I then had that moment where brain said “database corruption”.

As I remember I:

Changed the Ultra scale name.

Deleted my user in the ultra.

Created new user in Ultra.

This cured the “exactly” I was seeing earlier.

Finally deleted the original scale and took it out of service.

I have used the original Wyze scale since it was introduced a long time ago. It had its user app within the Wyze app. When I installed the Ultra it crested a second scale user app within the main Wyze app. One is named Wyze Scale the other Ultra. Though they were created for different scales years apart they are apparently the same. Unfortunate since one scale is staying in my bathroom and the other in the guest bathroom. They are independent scales but the app doesn’t work that way.
