Okay, uninstalling the app made the headphones work properly. I will now reinstall the app and check to see if the live audio will work on my doorbell and v3 cameras.
Nope. Still no live audio on doorbell and v3 cameras. Even after deleting the cameras, uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app and adding the cameras.
I have a 4a/5g that got Android 13. I have the V1 and V2 doorbells. Both seem to have audio on live feed.
Granted the V1 doorbell is plagued with firmware bugs, but I have done all the workarounds to get it limping. I am not running any beta firmware. I am running the production 2.33.1 (162) android app.
I did have to turn OFF "Enable Hardware Decoderā in the App settings to fix some bugs I mentioned at the top of this thread.
@carverofchoice @spamoni - Thank you, it indeed works on my Pixel 6 pro (AT&T * FirstNet) smartphone.
Best to check before the jump, Once you upgrade to Android 13 you cannot downgrade back to 12
Not easy to downgrade at least (might be able to force flash and overwrite everything from scratch in some complicated wayā¦but definitely not OTA). Itās been fairly stable. There will likely be some minor bugs to work out since itās so new, but I think that overall it should be fine. It was in Beta long enough that most developers should have the important stuff worked out.
Edit: looks like it is possible, but you have to bypass the Anti Rollback mechanism on your phone, install Android SDK Platform Tools on a PC (and ADB and Fastboot binary), enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking, unlock bootloader, download a special flash tool, etcā¦but technically possibleā¦
I totally understand. That is why I did my Pixel 5 first
According to this article there is No Downgrading back to Android 12 due to an āe-fuseā being set. e-fuses are write onceā¦
Yeah, I read that, though there are others explaining that it is indeed still possible to undo.
Several people have done it already and proven it. As I said, you have to bypass the Anti Rollback mechanism on your phone, among other things. Itās just an e-fuse, not a physical one, so there are going to be ways to undo that.
Google INTENDED to make it impossible to roll back, but itās only not possible to rollback through OTA. You can still do it manually including by modifying the bootloader.img file.
Iām sure a lot of that is beyond the technical capabilities of at least 70% of the population, but it is indeed possible to do as many people have documented. Just canāt do a normal OTA rollback.
