I’ve had this NVR for a few years now. It has worked with Wyze cameras, the only ones I have that it won’t work with is the OG cameras, and battery ones. it works with my V4, V3 Pro, V3, V2. No need for 3rd party RTSP firmware hacks, or wyze old RTSP Beta firmware. It uses a Wyze API key with your account. It only works with cameras that are on the same local network as the video is recorded from device to NVR, and doesn’t go through the cloud. Sadly you have to buy their hardware device and it is limited to 24MP. (Unless you go the professional route)
This NVR is called Camect. Not cheap, but worth the money in my book. I will say the online viewing of wyze cams on a PC is a step in the right direction but is still very limited compared to this box. Not sure if allowed to post a link or not. But https://camect.com/
New cams don’t always work out of the box. took a month or so I think for the V4 to work. And well OG is different enough it doesn’t work.
I had this system when I had a mixture of foscam, amcrest, and Wyze cameras. I got it via Indiegogo when the product launched at a much lower price. Long before my.wyze.com and I wanted a way to view all the cameras in 1 computer browser window, and it said it worked with Wyze, as well as my other cameras. This was back in 2019. About $350 including 1 year of ‘service’. Well flash forward to 5 years later and the device still does a great job, and is better than ever for the most part. All I have had to replace is the external power supply. Is it worth the money for just Wyze cams? Not really with Cam unlimited. But if you have different brands of cameras, and you want on-premise storage of 7x24 video. Yes it’s a good option. Oh yeah, they haven’t even started charging everyone for the ‘cloud service’ part of the product. (They are starting to with newer customers). I think for the original IndieGoGo users, that they have gone above and beyond their original commitment.
In all honesty the price it is now, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. For that price I could replace all my wyze cams with Tapo or something else with the RTSP and go with Blue Iris or something else. I posted this for all of the users who ask about a NVR that works with Wyze. I’m not aware of any others out there, especially a DIY software product.
