Hi there! I tried a couple of searches, and my experience was not the best…
I searched “trash truck” and “garbage truck”, and got a lot of trucks (and SUVs), but none of them were the trash truck. Maybe the AI doesn’t recognize my country’s trash trucks
Then I searched “cat”, and got a lot of birds, and my dog, but no cats at all (I have at least a couple event videos with cats).
That leads me to a question I have always wanted to ask, but I don’t know where to ask it: when I share an event video with Wyze to help train the AI, should I report…
Birds, weasels, etc, as “Pet”?
Bicycles as “Vehicle” (Wyze often tags them as “People”)?
The wind moving the leaves of a tree (out of view) and causing variations on the pattern of light and shadow on the floor, as “tree waving”? Or “lighting change”?
A spider web waving in front of the camera as “insects”?
Just a heads up here too, we are going to be emailing all Cam Plus users today about AI Video Search.
If you are a Cam Plus user, you will have to upgrade to Cam Unlimited to use this feature. But if you hate it or hate the Cam Unlimited plan for whatever reason, you can always downgrade/cancel.
Please please remember that we created a proration system on my.wyze.com that will allow you to receive credit for your current Cam Plus plans when upgrading to an Unlimited plan. I highly recommend you use it.
No one here at Wyze wants you to feel like we are pulling a fast one on you just to make more money. We want you to stay with us, we want you to know you are valued here in this thing we are building together, so we poured a ton of effort into building a system that gives you credit for current plans you have already paid us for.
But that only suspends automatic subscription update. How about when canceling automatic subscription to give us the choice to go back to CamPlus Lite for us who have it. In my case the Cam Unlimited rendered my cameras useless and until it expires next year they will be useless to me.
Edit: Actually even better if you give us the choice to have both CamPlus Unlimited and CamPlus Lite. I would like to have some cameras on CamLite and the rest could stay on Unlimited.
May I just say respectfully (without derailing the thread) that I’m just confused about theses issues @habib addresses (and others re Cam Plus Lite.) I don’t know what the heck is going on. I might be able to understand it if I applied myself but I don’t have the motive to do so. It has left me just waiting for the smoke to clear before making any commitment to Unlimited.
And then there’s this NEW something something on the horizon and… whatever.

Original CamPlus Lite users were promised “lifetime” account on existing accounts and compatible gear. Having said that I recently subscribed to CamPlus Unlimited. Automatically all my cameras were moved to that subscription either I liked it or not. When I tried to move some of my cameras back to Lite, I was not allowed by mighty Wyze. So I went ahead and cancelled my subscription and still I am not allowed to move my cams to Lite. Now, until my subscription lapses all my cameras are stuck on Unlimited.
I have Cam Unlimited and when I checked my Account the other day to see if my latest V4 was there I also looked at my Cam Plus Lite that I used for extended period. There is a note the saying all the cams are on Unlimited and can’t be used on Lite. Back in the good old days you could go back an forth between Cam Plus and Cam Plus lite as many times as you wanted to.
I know and this why I have been bitching about all this time. Now out of principle I will never subscribe again. I cancelled my subscription and I want to be able to assign my cameras back to what I had before. I don’t care about the stinking money that I paid to Wyze, they can keep it. Looks like they need it more than I do.
These kind of shady practices is what will drive customers away. I myself am considering different venue. I just hate throwing away still working cameras. Landfill is already full of electronics.
EDIT: The reason I subscribed to Unlimited was to have backup recordings in case something happened to my cameras or SD cards, but Wyze took that away by allowing to have it removed once the camera gets reset.
