This is a deal breaker for me as well. My 7 bulbs are 120 miles away at cottage and all are on after power outage. Driving there to turn them off after outage is not working for me. It doesn’t appear Wyze is responding to this as it’s been going on for some time now.
I haven’t seen a response, but I’m not sure what you’d want to hear. This is by design – it isn’t a bug or anything. If the bulb loses power and then power is restored, it will turn on. This is so that it can be used with normal switches. You could vote for this wishlist item if you’re not a fan of that behavior.
If the bulbs are remaining offline after a power outage, that’s different than what this thread is talking about. That shouldn’t happen, but it does sometimes. I’ve had it happen once or twice, although it’s only happened with one bulb at a time. (I have 5 in total) I’ve never seen it happen with all my bulbs at the same time. If they’re all offline, it sounds more like a router/internet issue.
Lifx bulbs have a feather call power restore to disable the lights from coming on when power is retored. 2 moring in a row my power flipped off at 3am for 1 sec causing all my lights in my house to come on. Lifx i diabled but i cant with wyze. Getting woke at 3am when you have to be up at 6 is not cool they need a option for this like lifx
Go to your bulb then go to settings go down to Power Loss Recovery click on that and set it to what you want, Normally you would set up these settings when you first set up your bulb
