So incredibly disappointed that we are being roped into home monitoring for all sensors including leak detection moving forward.

I initially thought the same thing as well… You don’t need a subscription, but you need the hub that’s part of the Core Starter Kit ($80). These new sensors are not using the old bridge on the camera but that hub.
I went ahead and ordered it, I’m not planning on joining any Home Monitoring subscription though.

Are you absolutely sure subscription is unnecessary?
I’m about to toss all the cams due to constant useless detections
And miffed the original sensors are no longer available etc. since what I do have I have made work successfully.
Having to add yet another potentially bandwidth gobbling wyze ecosystem has me rethinking this line entirely.
Do they sell the hub by itself w/o the subscription?
I wonder if they have thought of coming up with something like these that would integrate via rules to automatically shut off once leak is detected.

I see nowhere you can order the starter kit without home monitoring of at least 1 month

I just received the Govee Leak Detection System and I couldn’t be happier. $ 39.99 and 5 more sensors on the way. Wyze, what’s going on with you? prices rise to more than 40% and 60%, why?

Yeah, I also bought the Govee Water Leak Detectors a few months ago.
They work extremely well!
Since they send their signals/alarm over 433Mhz, I can pick up their alerts using an RTL-SDR Dongle, so I have integrated them into Home Assistant.
