I have a Waze camera 3 have been using it for a long time. One feature the software previously had was the ability to go forward or backward 30-second increments which was super handy when you’re doing surveillance and you needed to see small changes in a video.
I don’t see that now in the new version of the software. Is there any way to just jump 30 seconds at a time?
I believe if you tap on the view pane during playback those options appear as overlay controls on the video. I don’t have any Cam v3s, but this has been mentioned numerous times with the recent app updates that have changed Cam v3’s UI.
Tap the screen when playing back from the SD card. It is there. I really don’t understand every ones obsession with a 30 second back and forth. I record continuous and if I want to see the entire event before and after I just move the timeline slider back or forward as far as I want to go, the time is indicated on the screen. 
Found it. Dumb as it doesn’t stay .. previously you could keep taping to get to a particular point.

A long-press on the view pane could make the overlay persistent until the next long-press. Then life would be sweet? 
You’re welcome. You’re also not the only one complaining about the UI changes. Based on other things I’ve read from Wyze recently, I’ve gotten the impression that they’re trying to improve UI consistency across Cam models, and I think that’s probably a good move for newer users and for managing the plugin code going forward, but if I owned Cam v3s and had been using them for several years, then I’d probably be irritated by the change, too, especially when they haven’t directly communicated anything about these specific changes to users (at least not that I’ve seen). I think that’s a mistake, particularly in light of the preparatory messaging they put out last year in advance of the v3 app launch and the vast numbers of Cam v3s they have in customers’ hands.
The other issue I find, when you do jump 30 seconds, the screen zoom factor resets…. so if you had zoomed in you have to keep re zooming after each jump.
That seems annoying, too. If that seems like a broken function compared to the way the UI behaved before, then I’d be inclined to comment in whichever Wyze News topic corresponds with whatever app version you’re using. Hopefully that would help to get it on their radar for remediation in a future update. Since I’ve never been a Cam v3 user, I can’t make that direct comparison, and I don’t think I’ve ever tried bumping other Cams’ playback forward/backward 30 seconds at a time while zoomed in, so I wouldn’t be able to provide a good data point for this.
