I also see a lot of confusion and overlap of CamPlus, CamPlus Pro, CamPlus Lite… what is all this? I signed up for the Pro last August… and now I get emails and prompts I can get the Lite for free? Well isn’t the Lite version not as complete as the Pro?? The Pro is $99/year… I’m set to auto renew this August. $99 is a lot of money… the only real difference I see is the longer video recordings.

Yes, I’ve read that. Duh. Still a lot of overlap. Keep it simple. I pay for the Plus, why am I getting emails and app prompts to enable Lite? And/or that I have Lite for free? Whatever, all this isn’t worth my time. Again, typical Wyze, push back it all onto the client.

Because you might have additional cameras that do not have Plus (I do)—and you DO have Lite for free.

There is overlap because each service has similarities, but also each have differences that cater to different use cases. You arnt limited to having one of those services at a time, you can have multiple. I don’t have CPPro because I have a HMS subscription. I have cameras on CP but alot that arnt, on those others I have CPLite. It’s just another option to you. That may be why the advertising overlaps. You can disable marketing messages in the app settings two lessen some of the messages.

All my cameras are subscribed to CamPlus.

I understand all that. I write guidelines for a fortune 50 company. My point is why have so many tiers?

I have Samsung Galaxy S21 5G… was fine with my new subscription until i checked my cams today… thumbnails only unless i pay mre?? I’ll cancel and trash my cams before i pay more!
I’m an early subscriber!!
Customer Support is also a joke!

You can sign up for cam plus lite for free and restore the videos.

nope, that wont work… you are FORCED to pay for one of their subscriptions… they are forcing people to “pay to play”. You cannot switch it from image to video without a subscription, and just know, if you have a base station, it will NO longer back up video data to the base station, but up to the cloud, as their subscription plans are “not compatible”. if you want to see the hell im dealing with, and how wyze is now screwing its customers, and is asking for a class action law suite, read my other post:

  1. Cam plus lite has a free option, you don’t HAVE to pay.

  2. I believe if you want base station backup, then you should not subscribe to cam plus lite. You’ll lose the cloud video events, but you’ll retain the base station backup.

  3. the events tab is, and has always been, cloud recordings. Sd card recordings/thumbnails have never been found on the events tab.
