I would love to see that card. I haven’t yet. But, I certainly wouldn’t invest in their company because they won’t be in business for long.
Each card manufacturer has their own warranty. The 256GB cards I run are only warrantied to 40,000 hours and 2 years.
It depends on what you are trying to achieve, faster data access or maximum capacity. If small files are saved on larger clusters, it will result in space wastage issues. Alternatively, if large files are saved on small clusters, the read/ write performance will be delayed. Since the 1 min MP4 files recorded by the V3 in full HD average somewhere around 7ish MB, the larger the allocation, the less allocation clusters will be used for each file and the faster the read access will be.
One user posted successful exFat formatting with an allocation size of 8192K.
I’m not confident it prefers either. It supports both. What I am unsure of and still seeking is a definitive answer on what the App and Cam’s Format feature does. Is this a Wipe Only or is it a Full Format? It is my suspicion that it is only a wipe and does nothing to modify the type or allocation size since it is the same process regardless of the file allocation table on the card inserted.
