my card used one day just came out cam was never moved card is your 32 g wyze brand card was working little worried it slipped out
Are you still happy with these? So tired of the playback delays on the ones I have.
Yes I will only ever use high endurance cards with Wyze cameras. There is still little delay in loading video playback, but nothing like the frustration with non-high endurance.
I also haven’t lost 1 memory card yet since my last post.
Thanks! I ordered some today (at least I think they’re the same ones.) I’ve lost 2 cards in the last week. One is readable in the adapter so I’ll reformat and use elsewhere. The other isn’t even recognized when I put the adapter in my laptop. Not sure there’s anything I can do with that. Thanks for the quick response!
I’m not sure when it happened, but my Cam v2 ate my SanDisk Mobile Ultra 8GB HC I card. I’m not sure what the specifics of that card are but here’s the page that comes up from my Amazon order history:
I don’t see any mention of “High Endurance” there. I tried plugging it into my MacBook, both on the OSX side and under Windows (running via Oracle VirtualBox) and it didn’t even recognize that I had inserted a card. I also tried downloading the SD association’s app and it seemed to recognize the card, but wouldn’t let me format/revive it. And I tried inserting it into an old Android phone I had lying around and that didn’t seem to recognize that I had a card inserted, either. So it seems pretty dead.
Now, at some point, I also bought a couple of these SanDisk Ultra 32GB HC I A1 cards, which I haven’t used yet:
I also see no mention of “High Endurance” in that description, either, but there were/are plenty of reviews on Amazon of people using it with their Wyze cam, and the specs of the card seem to match the specs of the Wyze-branded card.
If “High Endurance” is a requirement, it would seem like Wyze should be stating that clearly on their website, but I’m not seeing it.
The inconsistency is consistent.
I have had no SD issues for over a year. Two of my cameras sit in a hot window sill. I thought for sure they would fail. I don’t understand why such failures are occurring on some and not on others.
My friend is technically smart as I and he has issues while I do not.
Hi, newbie here. Seems like many people are still having SD card issues even with the Wyze SD cards. I was thinking about buying a few cards for my V2 cams; I saw some PNY 32 GB cards on Wish for about $6 each (64GB for $7). They say “high speed” but I’m not sure if they are high endurance or not. I saw a tip about formatting cards as exFAT and would probably attempt that option if possible. Would probably opt for the larger size but wanted to know if this was advisable yet or if Wyze is coming up with a definitive solution.
Wish PNY SD card package includes:
1 x Memory Card
1 x Adapter
1 x Packing boxes
1 x Card reader (gift) color random distribution
Read/Write Speed: Class 10
Type: TF / Micro SD Card
Application: smart phones, cameras, tablet PC,dash cam and other smart devices
Compatibility: microSDHC and microSDXC supporting host devices
Anyone have any advice?
regular SD cards are made basically for point and shoot cameras to put it lightly. They’re good for taking pictures even at rapid pace which is where the high-speed comes in. But when it comes to constant read and write cycles such as video recording does so our cameras you want something like high endurance cards. They are made for recording video specifically and should not fail. This is the reason that many manufacturers say that use of their regular cards in security cameras or things like that will actually void their warranty. The Wyze cards are not high endurance, I have actually spoken with people at the company about this but they do have an amazing warranty and the company will back them up!
If you want to have SD use on our cameras without as many issues definitely buy high endurance cards. Samsung makes a good high endurance card as does Transcend.
As is being said - USE HIGH ENDURANCE cards made for security camera recording. Don’t play around - just get good ones from the start. After I swithched, I have has no issue with ruined cards, over a year now, My reccomedation is earlier in this thread somewhere,
My regular SD Ultra cards still work fine in all 4 cams.
Cool. Technology is great. My 2019 Acura only takes a USB stick.
Good point. I forgot about those.
Thanks.
I have the same issue on my pan which uses Wyze 32GB SD card - the camera is located inside looking through glass on my porch. The camera will go days without issue then typically when activity is HIGH for me that means gusty afternoon winds since I live close to the ocean something appears to over-heat and the SD card becomes unrecognized - I simply reboot and haven’t had any problem getting the card to be recognized again. I do go in each day and lower the sensitivity every morning and raise it every night - PITA but it seems to keep the card recognized for longer periods.
I’ve been away from the forum for a while now. Did they ever find a root cause for this problem and resolve it?

I’ve had the same thing happen. I actually abandoned using SD cards for a long time because of it. Only after reading on here about a lot of people successfully using them, I decided to buy more cards and try again. So far after about a month they are still good. Hopefully they stay working this time
I have had issues as well with a couple of my cameras not playing nice with my SD cards. Sometimes closing the app fixes it. Sometimes rebooting the camera fixes it. Sometimes I have to take the card out and format it in a different camera. Sometimes the cards are just completely dead and unusable. The 2 that I have the most problem with share power so I wonder if there could be some issue with the power that causes it.
