Wyze Watch Sports Tracking - More activity selections

I am a walker. Only selection now is for running

I agree. Maybe one for mountain biking, as well?

I agree 100%. I thought thereā€™s no way they only had one option. Why not just make ā€˜Sportsā€™ just say run. Iā€™d love to see, ā€˜walkā€™ and even just ā€˜other workoutā€™ if they donā€™t want to keep it more simple.

I would like the wyze watch 44 to have different types of workout choices besides just run. I ride a spin bike and do interval training and the sports tracking doesnā€™t track the miles and calories accurately. It would be nice to know how many calories I burn in a workout.

Hello,

Can Wyze Watch please be updated to allow Miles as a goal? ā€œStepsā€ are okay, but I want to reach a mile goal, and I donā€™t know how many steps it is. For example, I would like a goal of 5 miles per day (not 11,xxx - or whatever it might be in steps).

Thanks,
Les
P.S. Alexa would be nice

This is exactly why Iā€™m here. I need to see miles!

Iā€™m missing more sports selection. Iā€™d love to be able to track my swimming, TRX class, dancingā€¦ Is there any plans on that? Also 30 min underwater is not enough time if you plan on taking a 1 hours lap swimming

I would love if Wyze added a few specific exercises to the Wyze Watch. Walk, run, swim, bike maybe. It only records exercising now and that is fairly generic, and does not work for swimming.

Iā€™ve stopped using my 47 for excerise tracking. It is so convenient, but as a walker, I find the results in Google Fit very inaccurate, especially distance. :sob:

Totally agree Iā€™m mad I spent money on a watch that doesnā€™t track my cycling

To piggyback on this, the watch doesnā€™t appear to use heart rate to calculate calories burned at all, and the heart rate recording seems to be inaccurate. While exercising, Iā€™ve looked at my heart rate and it said 150+ on the watch consistently, but when I get home and sync, it says my max heart rate was something like 140.

Absolutely love the looks of the Wyze watch, As well as most of the features. It looks to be everything I want and my house is full of Wyze products. The only thing holding me back is lack of workout presets such as bike rides, strength training, and elliptical.

Please!!! Iā€™ll order one for the whole family if this gets added The watch looks more than capable specs wise and sensor wise to get this done.

I use the watch swimming for an hour and no problems other than it doesnā€™t record my lap swimming.

How is there only one activity category? If itā€™s meant to be a generalized ā€œexerciseā€ category then change it to say that instead of ā€œindoor run.ā€

I agree. Activity tracking is one of the main reasons I got to watch. Iā€™m a walker, and itā€™s pretty useless for recording my activity. Otherwise Iā€™m pretty happy with the watch, especially for the price.

They need to add the ability to select free training vs run in the workout app on the Wyze Watch much like they already have on the Wyze Band. Sometimes Iā€™m lifting weights instead of going for a run.

I have a Wyze Watch 47 that does about 50% of what I need. It is great with counting steps, monitoring HR throughout the day and my sleep cycles. However, I have three main gripes with this thing.

  1. It needs to track more activity categories. Currently it only registers ā€œindoor runā€ when I select the sports tracking. I do outdoor runs on pavement, indoor runs on the treadmill, I use an elliptical machine, indoor stationary biking, and I do weight lifting. It would help to have these categories to help calculate calories burned so that calories burned is all contained within ONE app (Wyze). Currently I have to fumble between apps to calculate calories burned on all of this stuff when it would be a lot easier within Wyze since it is already actively monitoring HR.

  2. The watch tracks distance on the treadmill less accurately compared to when I run outside on the pavement. Iā€™ve entered my routes on Google Maps and the watch is basically 100% correct in calculating the distance when I run on pavement. When I use the treadmills at my gym, the watch has been consistently undervaluing my distance by 7-8% across several machines. Can this please be improved?

  3. The distance and calorie counter is basically useless when using an elliptical machine or bike, and wonā€™t calculate calories burned when I lift weights. It already actively tracks HR, which is a necessary metric in determining calories burned (along with total time of the exercise), so itā€™s already halfway there.

These are my only issues with this watch. Did I make a mistake in getting the watch? Does the Wyze Band track these additional categories ?

The Wyze band has two workout tracking options. Free training and indoor run.

Absolutely agree ā€¦ we need more activities and a better fitness application (like Fitbit) to go along with tracking what we do please.

All these comments, are pretty consistent. That was my one complaint when I first received my Wyze 47. And disappointed no actions been taken to improve the fitness tracking. Otherwise the watch is great. Iā€™ve actually switched over to a Timex until this is resolved.
