Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about the install.
I received my Wyze Video Doorbell a few days ago and when I installed it, the existing wires were apparently in such bad condition that they just broke off pretty much where they came out of the wall. This happened with careful handling. I did not pull or bend them much. The house is 12 years old and it seems the builder used a RJ-45 with 8 wires and they have corroded due to high humidity.
I was able to carefully pull the entire bundle about a 1/4 inch out of the brick wall and was able to strip the wire back to twist the two connector wires on. Since there was not much room I also had to cut half of the twist on connector.
