Wyze Smart Switch and Wyze Bulb Cam

Here’s my current setup:

Front porch, regular “dumb” bulb connected to Wyze Smart Switch set to Classic Control, works fine.

Front Garage, Wyze Bulb Cam and an Accessory Bulb connected to Wyze Smart Switch. If I set it to Classic Control, the light turns On/Off at the switch but when lights Off, the Camera is also Off. If I switch it to Smart Control, Camera stays On the entire time but clicking the Switch does nothing, lights do not turn On/Off.

How do I get the Wyze Smart Switch to control the Bulb Cam and Access Bulb light?

I want to do that first and then set it to where if I turn on Front Garage light, the front porch light turns On as well and vice versa…

Please advise!

Are your porch light “dumb” bulb fixture, Bulb Cam fixture, and Accessory Bulb all on the same circuit controlled by a single Wyze Switch? That’s the first thing I’d want to know, and I imagine that’s what you’re describing. This is similar to the situation at my home, where a single switch inside the front door controls power to a light fixture on the porch as well as a sconce on either side of the garage door (so three fixtures total on that same circuit).

I don’t have a Wyze Switch, so I don’t know for sure what options are available to you, but I think you’re going to need to do two things if all your lights are on the same circuit:

  1. Replace the “dumb” bulb with another Accessory Bulb or a different Wyze Bulb or Bulb Color.
  2. Use the Switch in Smart Control mode.

I think you need to be able to leave power on in the circuit at all times (my understanding is that using Classic Control turns off power in the same way a regular “dumb” mechanical switch does) so that you can use “Additional Interactions” like Double Press and Triple Press to activate Automations for your lights—at least I think this should be possible. You won’t be able to do that with a regular bulb in the circuit and have that light turn on and off in the way you want, I don’t think.

If these are two different Wyze Switches that you’re using—one for the front porch fixture and another for the two fixtures outside your garage—then I suspect you might be able to set up Automations to have one trigger the other (and vice versa), but almost certainly the Wyze Switch controlling the garage Bulb Cam and Accessory Bulb will need to be in Smart Control mode so that this circuit is always energized.
