Wyze Scale S scam

I think these Wyze scales are a scam. My wife and I have been working out and getting healthy. I’ve lost 60 lbs since February and been watching my numbers fall with a Wyze Scale S scale.

just so happens that my wife and I weighed the exact same this morning but I noticed something. My wife stood on the scale with my profile and guess what? All our numbers including fat percentages, lean muscle mass, etc were the exact same. No way that is possible.

So we both created new profiles, reset the scale and tried again and guess what? All the same numbers.

I don’t think the scale is measuring anything except weight and basing all the other numbers on just sex, height and weight. That is a scam and if true Wyze is misleading their customers.

I’m struggling to understand this discrepancy:

Presumably you and your wife are different sexes, but if you’re saying that there are no differences in the metrics you’re seeing, then I don’t understand how a Scale S would be “basing all the other numbers on just sex”. If the sex is different but the numbers are not, then how do you explain the apparent contradiction?

Congratulations on the weight loss, by the way, especially if all of that is intentional! That takes real effort to changing habits, and that’s not an easy thing. :+1:
