WYZE privacy practices concerning “health our data”

All of a sudden apps like WYZE, Facebook, Google apps and Apple iOS system are collecting our “Health Data” and in spite of my messages to these companies, stating that I never gave them permission to collect my personal health data, they continue to. I know this because their replies to me are complete bs, they just sidestep my inquiry and tell me some nonsense. I DO NOT WANT freaking TECH companies to monitor my HEALTH. This is outrageous! I will be submitting evidence of this breach of our privacy right to the new administration. What say you?

Welcome ot the forum. You joined a user to user forum an hour ago and this is your first post to discuss privacy concerns. Okay.

With all the data breaches, privacy is out the door in 2025. What Say You is a good song though.

You agreed to the Terms of Service & Privacy policy when you created your Wyze account. This forum is primarily a user-to-user community. Wyze employees do not actively monitor this forum. I would suggest voicing your concern and objection to Wyze by emailing privacy@wyze.com.

Yes. Why? Do you find a problem with that?

Seapup, perhaps you might read the ‘Terms of Service & Privacy Policy’ because if you did you would find that they say nothing about collecting & monitoring ones health data using the basic services that come with the camera. It is only in the ‘extra’ options like the upgraded ‘person identity’ feature and the scale devise and the watch device for example that one pays an extra charge for that they take the health/medical data in order to provide the services for these ‘extra’ features.

If this community site is not interested in protecting ones privacy or the use of ones personal data then I apologize for posting anything on this site because clearly it is not for me.

Apparently, I was too subtle.

I always think first impressions matter.

I wasn’t impressed.

Maybe try to sway us with some charm before lodging complaints. World is so angry.

Be kind. Rewind.

I read all of Wyze’s public documents when they were first created and again for every change since. Google and Apple’s terms of use and privacy statements point out the same. I’m not an attorney, nor am I a Wyze employee. I’m just a fellow Wyze cam user. If you can’t find the statements that address your concerns, please have someone in the legal field review the policies of the companies you’re worried about. With respect to Wyze, the easiest avenue is emailing privacy@wyze.com. Or call their corporate office (the number is publicly listed).

Not specifically addressing cynthiajamesglobal… for anyone looking for Wyze’s terms of use, privacy policy and data security info, here are the links:

Links to Wyze policies are also located in the footer of Wyze.com website pages:

I do not need to “try and charm in order to sway” anyone. This is a public forum and I am allowed to speak very clearly about what ever problem I am having with WYZE.

And I read the privacy statement and the terms doc before I even wrote on this platform. I do not need a lawyer to assist me in understanding exactly what these docs say or mean. What I can also say is that with the new administration in the White House companies like WYZE are not going to get away with their deceptive business practices much longer. I will take this matter up with them as this platform is a complete waste of my time.
