Wyze Pet Food Dispenser

I voted, even though I would prefer that Wyze focus on remediating outstanding issues with existing products. If they do produce something like this, then I hope some of the suggestions in this topic will be considered, specifically:

I think having an integrated camera is a must-have and would appear to align with Wyze’s focus on their core camera products in the past couple of years. I’d take it a step further and want a dual-camera setup, similar to what was apparently floated as a doorbell idea at one point: One camera could look out from the feeder (maybe even have it be a “pan” model with Motion Tracking or possibly the same Smart Focus as Cam v4), and the other could look down into the feeding dish so that a pet owner could easily see what’s there and manually trigger a refill, if desired.

This is something I’ve wanted to see in a reasonably-priced pet feeder for a long time. My original motivation is for animals that require special diets (veterinary prescription food because of medical conditions or even caloric restrictions needed for weight loss), but I’m sure there are reasons for other use cases, as well. I joked about a “Friendly Felines” feature in another topic, and I don’t think AI-enhanced detections (especially at Wyze device prices) are up to the job at this point, but something capable of reading RFID should be able to identify and feed only the designated pet that shows up at the feeder.

Also, I really enjoyed @Earl.Automation’s story.
