Apparently Wyze broke this a long time ago and is working on a resolution:

I don’t know if any of the battery-powered Wyze Cams allow continuous microSD recording, even if they’re solar powered. I imagine Wyze sets this limitation to conserve battery, even though I personally think it should be a user’s choice (i.e., warn the user about battery drain/wear but let the user to it anyway, if that’s what the user chooses to do).
