Wyze Login and Multi-Factor Authentication

Am I the only one unhappy with the new login process for the web portal? It’s a bit ridiculous to have to login at every browser session. And MFA is rather intrusive - “Trust This Device” should last longer than a day. I also can no longer bookmark “My Wyze Cams” because it gives me some “invalid session” warning and wants me to go through the “front door” and login every time. Does this bother anyone else?

I understand the need for user security, but this is a bit over-the-top. You should give us options for security so that we can choose how we log in. I understand that it is still in Beta, but it has been for a long time. I’m not going to go off-topic and complain about the lack of audio, but that needs to be addressed also.

I think MFA is a great enhancement and kudos for adding it, but it needs some tweaking as does the login procedure. I shouldn’t get upset every single time I want to check my cameras when I’m at work. Please read the room.

I am a bit confused. I log into my app, both Android and iOS, one time. When I select the Trust my Device and logon, it stays logged on, unless I select Log out in the Account area.

I am wondering if this is an OS Setting to clear cache or authentications.

Can you provide both the iOS version you are using and the Wyze App Version as well?

since this is not happening to me, I am not bothered.

@cyberdog_17 , you are an avid iOS user, is your app requiring you to logon or provide MFA often?

Do you have any ad/cookie/popup blockers in your browser (some browsers have strict cookie blocking by default)? When “trust this device” doesn’t work for me on various sites, that’s typically the issue, I have to add an exception.

This is happening om my pc in Google Chrome. It doesn’t happen all the time (perhaps I got carried away), but it happens much more often than I would like it to. I also can no longer bookmark Wyze Web Live because it just shows some warning:

Suspicious source detected, please go to official Wyze sites and try again.

And it just wants me to log in again, but I can’t because it is disabled (see attached image).

This isn’t on my end. I’m not clearing history or cookies or site data. Just closing my browser. And no, none of that stuff is cleared when I close my browser. Right now it seems to be behaving, but it has been a problem for some time now.

Thanks for your reply, but the only blocker I have is set to allow Wyze.

You need to check and see if the 2FA is using different URLs than just plain Wyze, you may need more than one exception. Try disabling the blocker temporarily and see if the issue goes away, if so you need to find the rest of the exceptions that need to be added.

Can you try a different Browser to see if you experience the same thing? Asking because I believe Wyze is working on an issue with Chrome Browsers and Authentication.
