Wyze Duo Cam Pan Beta:

What’s new:

  • Updated Home Waypoint (HWP) logic — no Home Waypoint is set by default (requires App version 3.8.5 or later).

  • Improved return behavior during Pan Scan — the camera now correctly returns to the Home Waypoint after motion tracking is triggered.

  • Improved calibration logic — if a Home Waypoint is set, the camera will return to it after calibration.

  • Optimized Wi-Fi connection strategy — when multiple networks share the same SSID, the camera will now prefer the one with stronger signal.

  • Fixed a rare issue where livestream loading could become stuck.

Wyze Bulb Cam Beta:

Version: 21.1.4.0994

(7/31 fixed incorrect Version number, should be 21.1.4.0994)

What’s new:

  • Added Sound Triggered Light Control

  • Added Breathing Light Mode

  • Fixed a network reconnection bug.

I don’t see the Bulb Cam update yet, but I can wait. :+1:

Edit: Bulb Cam firmware 21.1.4.0994 loaded and working well so far, but it’s still daylight outside. :grin:

@WyzeAndy I want to make you aware that it’s quite a few days later and I’m still not seeing the Duo Cam PAN firmware yet. I’m still sitting on 1.0.0.163.

Is this something that addresses Bulb Cam’s Wi-Fi connections only, or does it affect the BLE connections to Accessory Bulbs, as well? I haven’t tried installing this beta firmware, but several times per month find that one of my Accessory Bulbs is turned on during the day when it shouldn’t be, and then I see in the app that it’s “offline” (so some sort of offline notification about that could be helpful, too). The only way I’ve (mostly) reliably been able to get the Accessory Bulb to reconnect is by deleting both bulbs connected to that camera and initiating the rebinding process, and that gets pretty tedious.
