Wyze doorbell two way talk volume

If she wants the phone to ring, then she’ll need to have VoIP enabled, I think. That’s probably one of the first things I’d check. Also, I wonder if some of the audio quality issues are related at all to compression and the strength/quality of the Wi-Fi signal at the doorbell’s location.

I went to troubledshoot her doorcam and I noticed that unlike my doorcam v1, her doorcam v2 does not have the section where you have to activate the VoIP. This is weird because when first installed her doorcam, I thought it had that function. Anyway, her doorcam v2 now rings on her cellphone when doorbell is pressed. However, the volume is low during talk back when I am at her front door.

It does, and it should be at  Account ➜ Notifications ➜ Push Notifications ➜ Voice Over IP. If the phone is ringing the same as for an incoming phone call whenever Video Doorbell v2’s button is pushed, then I imagine VoIP is enabled.

If you haven’t (or she hasn’t) already done this, then I’d be inclined to replicate the issue, submit a log, and then follow that up with a ticket that refers to the Log ID. Support will probably suggest some troubleshooting steps and tell you that they can’t access the logs (because those go to the engineers), but they might also want to replace the doorbell if it’s still under warranty. I wonder if it’s just a problematic unit.

I finished troubleshooting her situation. I was able to push notification and Voice Over IP was enabled through her account. As far as a solution to the low volume during the two way conversation through the wyze doorbell, she basically had to put her mouth closer to her phone mic and speak louder. Mind you, volume is still low but at least we were able to have a conversation.
