Camera: Cam V3 (with the latest firmware: 4.36.13.0416) SD card: SanDisk High Endurance microSDXC 64GB V30), thoroughly tested with diagnostic tools and formatted as exFAT. Steps to reproduce the problem: Start up the camera with the SD card inserted. Set up the local continuous recording to the…

Wyze support confirmed (after much hesitation) that it’s a software bug, and their engineers have been unable to fix it since 2022. I received a refund for my subscription. I’m now planning to sell all eight of my Wyze cameras and replace them with something more reliable.

Odd that OP seems to see it stop recording immediately. Not sure what would cause that, but would be good to see if the files are actually there and just dated wrong. Also good to know the files can be viewed in the app, as long as you know the correct date for the firmware. Guess we’ll have to c…

Luckily, this question was sort of brought up couple weeks ago as well due to the DST changes. [image] DST transition to Standard Time, does not record to SD card Cameras Reposting since I accidentally deleted it and I can’t seem to restore it. Wyze cameras require inter…

Wyze support is likely wrong. If you look at the firmware notes, rebooting the camera to re-establish connectivity appears to have been an intentional change. [image] CY2k: I’m now planning to sell all eight of my Wyze cameras and replace them with something more reliable. How will that mak…

sorry, didn’t read the whole thread. Are all 8 of your Wyze cameras having this issue? Are they all V3? i have one older pan V3 with this issue and one pan V3 I bought after that is working correctly. Both of my V3 (non-pan) are working correctly.

All my V3 cameras have this issue. As soon as the wifi is gone, the continuous recording stops. [560654e210c3b0cf70630e6335e954508eb27eda_2_305x500]

I am referring to products from other camera manufacturers, such as Eufy, or even Raspberry Pi-based solutions

I have the same problem. I have 2 vehicles with 2 cams each. They used to work perfect as front and rear dash cams. Now they are just exctra security cameras at home unless i use my phones hotspot while driving. Wyze techs should revert the firmware back to 2022 when this wasnt an issue and remake t…

Anyone have this issue with the v4s?

They weren’t designed to be used as offline cams. To use them that way you’ll either need to get used to pulling the SD card or going back to the date the firmware was built in the app to see the videos, or revert manually to an old firmware that doesn’t have this behavior and disable updates (but …

I don’t have Cam V4 so I don’t know if it has this same issue or which firmware introduced this new behaviour. For Cam V3, you’ll need to revert back to firmware 4.36.11.8391 as it will not automatically restart after 30 minutes of internet outage. At one point previous beta FW actually fixed this …
