Wyze Buds, Sound intermittent while watching video or listening to music on my laptop

Recently my Wyze buds keep dropping sound every 2 -5 seconds, no matter if it’s music or video, streaming, or download. I’ve attempted each of the following steps, suggested by Wyze support reps:
We have a few troubleshooting steps that could help resolve the issue.

  1. Confirm that your Wyze app is up to date.
  2. Confirm the Wyze Buds Firmware is up to date.
  3. Make sure the phone/device’s Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Try turning the Bluetooth off, and then turning it back on.
  1. Confirm the Buds are near the Bluetooth device.
  2. Make sure the Buds are charged.
  • Wired Charging: recommended charge time is at least 2 hours.
  • Wireless charging is not supported on Wyze Buds Basic.
  • Suggest a 15-minute quick charge, then reconnect to Bluetooth and try again.
  1. Try a factory reset, and set them back up in the Wyze app.
  • With the Buds in the case, Press and Hold the button for 20 seconds.

However, after all of these steps, the sound is still intermittent while watching any sort of video, not just streaming videos. Any assistance would helpful, thanks.

– After some experimenting, I can now watch and listen to music on my phone without sound dropping off at all. So it seems to be limited to my laptop only.
