Wyze App 'real estate' use

With no category for the 'Wyze App" I’ll post this here;

Looking at the Wyze App on my iPhone or Android Phone, I have the following questions/feedback for the existing and soon to be newly hired Wyze App Developers:

  1. Why does the ‘Edit Rules’ occupy so much space here? One button with all this wasted white space is not the best use of this real estate.

  2. 3, 4. I love having status of my Grouped Entry Sensors, Grouped Motion Sensors as well as my Wyze Lock here. I don’t think utilizing this much space on the limited real estate for this purpose is the best use of that space. Perhaps consolidate, for example, 2, 3 and 4 into one ‘status’ bar?

That blank space can fill with shortcuts, you know…

I learned my new trick for the day, thank you for sharing. I’ve never setup a shortcut, as I didn’t see a user for them. I created five shortcuts to test this feature

I didn’t care for the short 9 characters you get to use to describe a shortcut button. and the ‘buttons’ or icons for each shortcut leave much to be desired… for me, I see value in being able to turn my shop lights on in my garage… I like close garage, but am confused why no “Open Garage” is available. I setup shortcuts for water for a 1 min test, and stop watering…

I’d prefer to see those ‘stars’ for short cuts replaced with status of five wyze items or groups of items, such as entry sensors, motion sensors, Wyze Lock etc.

All great ideas, definetly agree. Check the #wishlist and post them if they don’t exist :slight_smile:

Agreed. App needs a serious UI overhaul update. Beyond all the unused real estate everywhere, it is just outdated and not intuitive at all. I still can’t believe they haven’t implemented any slide\drop\popover menus. Everything is flat page icon driven. So slow to navigate.

omg, I want dark mode so bad. Late night, before bed cam-check involves burning my eyeballs.
