Even though I am still using Wyze App version 2.50, I like having the Wyze App and a browser open on IOS 26 at the same time. Anyone else having a good or bad experience with IOS 26?
I usually wait few weeks before upgrading iOS and MacOS full versions. I’ll let you know when I upgrade ![]()
EDIT: It has been my experience that Apple is pretty good and quick in squashing any bugs.
I normally wait a few weeks too before upgrading. I read good reviews so I am trying IOS 26 early.
I upgraded my wife’s iPad to IOS 26 too. She does not like to multitask, so I set hers to “Full Screen Apps” from this screen.
Oh wow, that’s new. Bringing the iOS inline with the desktop version. Now you are going to make me brake my own rule.
Unfortunately my iPad is too old and stuck in iOS 16.7.12. I might just bite the bullet and upgrade my phone. Probably the screen will be to small for Windowed Apps ![]()
Multi windows on my iPad Pro 13 inch looks great. Even with a small screen you can have Apps floating around.
Yeah, that is more than double my phone’s screen size. It’s running the update as we speak, I’ll let you know what I think once I played around with it ![]()
Ok, I had a chance to play around with iOS 26 on my phone. No issues with any of my apps. It feels nice, no slowdown on the phone. Wasn’t able to test windowed mode is it is available only on iPad as well some other features. Understandably due to screen size limitations I guess. Once I get around I will install it on wife’s iPad and see how it works, only if I can pry it out of her hands
.
Wyze app runs with no issues, tried both latest production and beta version.
No issues with iOS 26. I did turn on the Reduce Transparency setting because I didn’t like the fuzzy looking apps. ![]()
I left it alone as it doesn’t bother me.
My second generation Apple Pencil took a ride in the washing machine yesterday, why doesn’t it work anymore? ![]()
It is nice and clean..
I used to wash my USB keyboards all the time, intentionally. I stopped doing that with the wireless models as they have battery inside, just like your pen ![]()
Put it in a bag of rice, if nothing is fried inside it might start working again.
I hope it writes cleanly now ![]()
My phone is Apple AI compatible but I’ve never turned that on either. ![]()
Neither have I. I don’t use AI, once in a blue moon I might ask something ChatGPT on my desktop computer. BTW, Apple’s AI is integrated with ChatGPT.
It is cool but I think it drains my battery faster. If battery life is a concern, you might experiment with Liquid Glass Off compared with it On.
I don’t think you can turn Liquid Glass off but you can set Reduce Transparency to on.
People are reporting battery drain on MacBooks as well. Also, MacBook users with M1 chips are reporting animations lag on external monitors. Looks like Apple has some bugs to squash.
I usually wait for at least two revisions of a major OS update before I update my main desktop computer. Also gives Adobe (my bread and butter) a chance to fix any issues.
I am running macOS Sequoia on an older MacBook Pro. Since it is older hardware I am going to wait a bit before trying Tahoe.
If you are using Open Core Legacy Patcher, Tahoe is not ready yet.
