Where do I complain about the frequent 2FA challanges on web?

Is it a cookie issue? This seems like it could be a cookie issue. Does anyone know if Wyze’s authentication system is trying to “remember” a specific device (with the user’s permission at login) based on a browser fingerprint, by placing a cookie, or something else?

If I had to guess, I’m goin’ with :cookie:. If I log into a Wyze site (like the Forum) on my phone where I’m using Firefox Focus and click the Trust This Device button at the end of the login sequence but then close the browser app and immediately try to open the site again, then it prompts me to log in yet again, presumably because closing the browser deleted the history and cookies (this is by design for that particular browser).

I say that to say that if Wyze can’t set a persistent cookie in your browser because…

  • you’re using Incognito, InPrivate, Private or a similar browsing mode, or
  • your browser settings aren’t allowing (certain) cookies to be saved, or
  • you’re frequently clearing your browsing history/cookies, or
  • you’re using third-party software (e.g., CCleaner) that deletes browser cookies, then

…this may be the reason the Wyze Web properties aren’t remembering your login.

Were you ever able to find another solution, @nhed? I’d be interested to learn whether or not this is actually cookie related.

(Nom-nom-nom….)
