What the heck is the "WyzePlatformKit" ? Directory

Does this affect iphone?

Look on your phone for a directory named WyzePlatformKit.

FYI, do to using a Kindle (like me) you’re going to need to manually update the app.

This app: APKGrabber APKs - APKMirror

Will scan the apps you have installed and tell you when a new version is out. For WyzeCamera, this app is a must.

iOS users can’ scan directories unless they Jailbreak the phone, which few do.

We can however see how much space an app is using under General > iPhone Storage, and Wyze is using 800 MB on my phone, one of the top users.

Thanks, but I’m running a Fire Tablet (AKA Kindle) on Beta and it seems to keep up to date when I visit the Play store.

Thanks,
That is what I thought and why I asked the question. Always good to keep in mind what platform we are discussing.

I checked my iphone and Wyze uses about the same space as Facebook, so I’m happy.

Ah, my bad. I forget people sideload the play store! It made my Fire HD 10 slow so I uninstalled it and used the method above. Anyway, carry on!:sweat_smile:

I just checked MyFiles on my Galaxy s8. I am running Wyze version 2.3.69, not the beta version. The date of the WyzePlatformKit is 4/24/19 and the first log is dated 6/14/19, 2:56 PM. The largest log file I have is about 9 mb. (Not nearly as big as other log files mentioned.)

After reading through this thread I have a couple of questions: Why did these logs suddenly start being created? How long will they be kept? Can I safely delete them?

That directory on my Amazon Fire Beta app is now consuming 10.33 GB in 11 files.
That is the device I run most of my Time Lapse on, which occasionally bomb.

that’s the question I would like to know also, I did delete a couple of the large ones, it Didn’t seem to cause any problem
for yesterday June 23rd The one file is 420 megabytes

Meh… I’ve deleted every last one… everything still works fine.

My iPhone 6 is only using 26.8 mb of storage

It’s back - Since yesterday with the new FW on one camera I’ve got 4 .xlog files which consume 9.09 GB, Which seems to correspond to my attempts at running/downloading large time lapses.
