Listening to music is very enjoyable. I like experiencing different genres. It’s fun to find a tune you like but never heard of before.

These two tunes got me in interested in some opera. Never thought I would venture into that realm.

That’s another movie I haven’t seen.

It’s a subtle propaganda piece written by a master manipulator, masterfully executed. Just enjoy the show. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Love the Rice Krispies! The coke is too shameless (even for me!)

Ran across this looking for a compilation of popular arias I had in the 80s (never seen the film it’s from: Arias (`1987))

I think the first one I ever got to see was Don Giovanni when I was in college. It was performed in Italian with English subtitles projected onto a strip screen that made it easy to follow the story. (I’ve seen some opera in English since then but didn’t enjoy that nearly as much and found that more difficult to follow.) The “Madamina” aria from Don Giovanni is still fun, but I’ve always liked Mozart. I found a video that has English subtitles:

 This is a servant singing about his master’s romantic conquests.

:+1:

I wondered if that’s where that one was headed, because at some point it was starting to have that “share a Coke and a smile” vibe. “Thanks, Mean Joe!

It occurred to me that Meanish Girl’s ‘Fancy’ was a form of Muddy’s Mannish.

Though Meanish is a white Australian (who claims partial Aboriginal ancestry.)
