The Rules Team is starting to work heavily on getting some new rule automations in place and would like your feedback and input. At the link below you can find a poll listing 10 highly requested Rule Actions and would like you to vote on which ones you would like to see (vote for up to 3). If this works well we may redo it every so often with a new list.

I would just like to have the current rules work. I have 4 switches set up to go on and off every hour for a work day. These are controlling equipment for my business. I’ve tried using the on or off for 1 hr which support said that the function with timers are not working. Then I tried separate rules for on and off and it still doesn’t work. Sometimes 1 will turn on and no off others will go off and not on. Others will have a random timing for each and other times they will do the exact opposite as they should be doing.

I’ve gone though to make sure the rules are correct and not in conflict, deleted the device and rules and reconnect with fresh rules. Sorry for the long post. I’m getting a little frustrated working on this for the last 2 months.

It would be nice to have a timer function in one rule to say on/off with multiple times of the day.

I like to see additional actions on pan cameras; pan to waypoint #1, etc.

I like that! It’s not something I would’ve thought to request, and I don’t have an immediate use case for it, but I can imagine how something like that might have some utility.

Are you talking about the wall switches or the plugs?

Mind if I take a look at the rules that you have created? Can you post screenshots of those rules with all actions shown? Also, can you post screenshots of your rules history so that we can see what actually fired and when?. Thanks in advance!

I’ll try. There are several and I had to turn them off to run manually… I’ll re-enable them to get a history for you today. So far no one has gotten back to me from support in 2 days.

They are doing opposites and change randomly. I’m not sure what’s going on with the clock but the timer is off by about 2 or 3 minutes also.

You must have alot of rules. Lol.

If you click the individual down arrows it will drop down and show the actions that ran at those times.
