I put a Wyze contact sensor on my trashcan that sits in front of my house. I was getting extra garbage (I’m single and I rarely fill my can). So I added a contact sensor which triggers two cameras for smart video recording as well as an IFTTT that sends me an SMS with time stamp so I can check the video. It’s survived 2 rain storms and two trash pick ups and works perfectly.
I’m trying to figure out which neighbor is doing it. Just waiting for another hit.
