Someone else mentioned the conundrum of how valuable footage from SD cards is until the camera (and SD card) is stolen.
Can you locate or track down a camera by MAC Address?
I’m also curious. I have a feeling my cam was stolen last night and am also curious whether the MAC address can be traced?
That wouldn’t be something you can do today. If you email support@wyzecam.com they may be able to see if someone tried to add your camera to another account, but seems unlikely.
Keep in mind, your camera is only able to connect to the internet after you go through all the setup (download the app, enter SSID & password, scan qr, etc). So it’s unlikely if someone took your camera that they’re planning on setting it up.
