I never intended to have a ginger (or any) cat, but he’s been a good guy to have around, and I have seen him have success with catching an actual mouse after practicing his hunting skills since his younger days with toys. He’s still somewhat timid around new people, but he’s always been pretty accepting of other quadrupeds:
I include the one dead mouse I found lying beside him once, because I’m not certain that his intention was to kill it, and I didn’t see any obvious wounds or blood at the time. Possibly he wanted to just play.
