I’ve been trying to get our thermostat to work and so far all of the tips/tricks I’ve read on the forums here haven’t worked. I have gas/forced air heat and I’ve selected that in the app & tested, then tried electric/forced air & tested. I’ve reset the thermostat multiple times, redone the wiring to make sure I didn’t do anything incorrectly (according to the in app instructions). Each time I go to do the test to make sure things are working the AC (or at least only the fan) turns on when it’s testing the heat, and then the heat turns on when it tests the AC. I even went through most of the wiring on the PCB and compared it to the connection diagram to make sure things were hooked up properly. If anyone has any suggestions on what else to try so we can have the heat working now that it’s winter that would really help.
Edit to add: Also amenable to just saying f-it & running new wiring to the thermostat with 5 wire thermostat wire. The thermostat is less than 15 ft from the furnace and looks like it would be pretty easy to do.
This is what the wiring setup looked like at the previous smart thermostat (we didn’t install it was here when we moved in so no idea what the original thermostat wiring looked like)
More images in comments since I can only have 1 embedded image.
Thanks!
