Hello All and @kae4560
Like you, I know the importance of clean surfaces when applying bonding tapes, and to avoid contaminating the active tape surface. Also, stick it where you want it the first time. Use cardboard strips or rulers taped (masking tape) to the window as positioning guides. Some forum posters have wanted window mounts that aim to the right or left or down from straight ahead through the window. The picture below is a sampling of 3D printed ways of custom aiming a V3 camera.
The bottom right corner of the above picture shows a few left-right and up-down aim adapter wedges to be used with the Wyze Window Mount.
This is an example of a downward aiming adapter wedge.
This link provides a selection of Downward Aiming Wedges at 5° intervals.
Below is a side aiming adapter wedge.

In the first picture, the white items and the black item in the top right corner are square tube glare shields. I have created 110 3D printable files ranging from 0° to 45° in 5° intervals in any combination of up, down, left, and right aims (compound angles).
The picture below is an example of one of them looking out the window at the patio.
This link Master Sq Tube Glare Shield Folder provides access to all of the Sq Tube Glare Shields.
Should you or anyone else want to adjust the aim of a Wyze Window Mount or print out a custom Sq Tube Glare Shield, please download what you need. There is no charge for any of the files, and maybe your library will print them for you at no or very little cost. The aiming methods shown above will restrict the field of view at the larger aim angles. In the forum search “field of view” or “FOV” to see actual restricted images for various aim angles.
Victor.
