Thanks for this! I was having the same problem with the cams in my kids rooms which was causing major issues. Deleting the group solved the speaker issue.

I have V2 but my FW is at 4.9.6.199 and it says i am up to date? Where is 4.9.6.207?
My V2 is not in a GROUP. My kids told me about a month ago that my voice was coming out of the speaker all muffled and garbled also.
Today I install the WYZE LOCK which is great and i shared the LOCK and the V2 camera with my wife.
She tried to speak to the kids via the speaker but no sound ! and then i tried it and no sound too !
What can I do ? should i email support ?
The problem is the beta software on your phone if your a beta member .
Remove yourself from beta and install release and sound works fine …
I had 207 and still had problems . Went through extensive testing with support and it was the beta software .
I do not see where it says that I am a beta member? How would i find out and remove myself from that ?
You cannot have the sound on and speak at the same time you will have to turn the sound off when using the speaker
After touching mic icon I touched speaker icon to turn off speaker sound. Interesting, you can still hear person talking by camera. This helped take away my garble voice sound but I still have to yell to be heard. Any other thoughts?
I’ve been dealing with Wyze for over a month trying to get the sound fixed on the 3 cams 
I purchased. I did all that the techs asked, got switched from tech to tech several times (where they asked me the same questions again) with no solution to the problem.
Finally, feeling like I was getting the runaround, I asked for a supervisors/ manager or some type of upper management personnel to contact me over the phone. This is the 3rd day of total silence.
I requested a paid RMA or new working speakers and base etc if they weren’t able to solve the problem. No response.
You need to think twice about purchasing Wyze. This is not acceptable customer service.
I was fine trying all their fixes but now it has turned to frustration.
Having the same issues. My voice used to come out clear, everyone could understand me 1 month and 2 cameras later, its just muffled, barely a sound
