SpaceX Starlink group 9-1 launch

This evening SpaceX launched a Falcon-9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Station - 162 miles WNW of my house. I pointed a V3 Pan camera at the path of the rocket and started recording. At the beginning of the recording, you can’t see the rocket as it’s hidden in the bright sky, but a few seconds later it emerges. A short while later the nine engines of the first stage booster (B1082 on it’s fifth flight) shut down for staging followed by the second stage igniting. Remember that at the closest, the rocket is over 100 miles from the camera.

Very nice. I used to watch launches at Cape Canaveral from my back porch 144 miles away in Jacksonville. Amazing to see. Now I am 161 miles south and have to go out in my back yard to watch.
