Why are sound events detected, but no video (or sound) recorded to the SD cards? Video detections record fine.
You tagged your topic cam-v1-v2. If that is correct, do you have your MicroSD card recording option set to Events? If so, sound events will not be recorded to SD, only motion events. Change that MicroSD card setting to Continuous.

Okay, but why can’t it record sound as well in Events mode - it’s just a software change. I don’t understand the logic of not recording sound events?

I don’t know why or understand the logic either. We (users) just happened to find this issue and a half-baked solution over 5 years ago.
