Someone else’s Wyze camera videos started showing up in my account! It showed them and the inside of their home! Are my private videos showing my private home showing up in other people’s accounts? What the heck is going on here?!?!
First, NEVER put internet/cloud cams in private spaces. Second, contact Wyze support, they have a security team that can look into it. There are a few possible explanations, but it has happened before where still frames (and potentially videos) showed up on the wrong accounts.
Could be another Wyze Security Issue like in 2024.

As others have stated, please contact us. You can email our security team at security@wyze.com with as much of the info as you have so that we can look into this and see what is going on. Also, I would recommend changing your password if you have not already. Using 2FA is also a good option.
This kind of stuff has to stop and not acceptable! Please keep us informed about what Wyze’s response to it is.

Forum Mavens and Moderators have provided a fair amount of information. I have personally read through your security policy as well as your privacy policy. In the end, I still have questions and am hopeful you could provide clarification to the following:
- Does WYZE work with FLOCK?
- A simple yes or no would be greatly appreciated.

- Will WYZE provide any form of user data to any law enforcement agency without a court order or subpoena?
- Meaning, if law enforcement simply makes a request, will WYZE comply without court orders/subpoenas or similar?
- When a court order or subpoena is provided to WYZE for user data, will or can WYZE inform the user involved?
- Policy states WYZE does not sell user data, but do you share it with anyone/any entity (other than advertisers) for no charge?
Also, I find this quite interesting as the highlighted statements below seem to be in direct conflict. Can you please clarify these conflicting statements for me?

I live in the state of Minnesota and would like to exercise my rights. I have already submitted my information via this web form. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information Request Is there anything else I need or should do to limit the sharing and selling of my data/information?

Wow! I want the answers to these questions too!!! Without really good, detailed answers, I am cancelling all Wyze subscriptions and dumping all of my Wyze gear as I do NOT want anything that functions even remotely like Flock and I do NOT want my videos taken with gear I paid for of my private property sold or shared with anyone, but especially not to law enforcement who might use it to harass or arrest people for simply having the wrong color skin or voting for the wrong person. I DO NOT WANY ANY OF MY DATA SOLD - NOT EVER!
That message was first sent to the WYZE privacy team on January 28th of this year. I sent it to them again March 6th of this year. After not hearing anything from them, I sent it to the security team today.
I would have suspected at least a courtesy reply from the privacy team. They did not even offer that. Hopefully the security team will do better.
I will , but honestly going by what was posted here (more like the lack of it), they don’t seem to care otherwise someone from Wyze would have contacted me. Is there a place where I can upload one of these videos for free so people here can take a look and tell me what they think? Are these law enforcement videos? It looks like they’re from a hidden camera pointed into a mirror so as to record the view directly behind it which is out an open door of people loading stuff into the back of a vehicle.

Here’s a short one.
Wyze doesn’t participate in those programs, and even Ring and Blink backed out after all the backlash around “find my pet”. That’s not what this thread is about.
As far as the rest, these are internet connected cams, they should not be in any private area or any area where you would not want the audio or video to fall into the wrong hands. That’s the case with ANY internet/cloud camera. If you want true security and privacy, use a closed circuit system that you can only access from the outside by using a VPN.
There have been plenty of cases of Amazon echo device recordings being used against people, and no matter what Wyze’s response is, laws and precedents change and you never know when something could be obtained by law enforcement.
Almost looks like they have it pointed out a window, but at night it becomes reflective. No way to say for sure. If that is not your cam and it isn’t one that has been shared with you, then the Wyze security team should definitely be looking into it.
Definitely not mine or of anyone I know or recognize, totally out of the blue/a total unknown.
To me, the double reflection and the framing as seen on the right made me think it was a mirror. You can see reflections of some kind of light possibly on the camera.
I am guessing that it’s aimed towards a mirror. The mirror and the back of the camera face a door leading to the outside where it’s daylight. I suppose this was done to better hide the camera as the mirror would make it possible to totally hide the camera from sight of anyone entering or looking around for a camera. The mirror also makes it possible for the camera to be able to continue seeing/recording the scene even though it’s hidden.
At this point, I really struggle with details, but it looks like a man is loading stuff (in black/red containers) into the back of a red truck possibly parked next to some kind of gray incident team van, but then again, it could just as well be a gray UFO because the mirror gives a kind of detail-blurring double vision to the recording making it tough to pick out more details.
I am hoping someone here has some kind of forensic/image processing/AI skills they could apply to tease out more information as I would love to know if I have been inadvertently involved in some kind of secret International plot to conquer the world by Wyze-wielding space aliens or spies using old red trucks to secretly smuggle their plans for world domination (or the design plans for building underwater lasers for sharks) to their crafty Canadian compatriots (hey, hockey is a helluva drug and highly addictive/expensive - or so I am told…)
Based on this post I think you’re making this up.
Here are my observations. Could be a Wyze camera positioned outside looking into the window of the dark room. Reflective lights in the bottom left could be lights reflecting from outside as the camera is aimed inward.
The first dark room has a ceiling fan indicating some kind of living space area.
The person in the lighted room looks like they are wearing a bathrobe and in another room not a mirror image.
Whoever setup the camera was savvy enough to turn off the Wyze logo in settings.
Was this video clip in your Cloud Event videos or did you record the video from the Live View screen?
Event videos - a bunch of them. I would never click record for someone else’s cameras/property. I just hope they or someone else were not getting any of mine at the same time!
By posting this video, I am afraid this proves there has been yet another Wyze camera video breach. Goodness only knows how far or how bad this will end up being because Wyze isn’t talking about it or responding to emails about it - always a bad sign. For all we know, they have gone Flock/Palantir/AI on us without saying a single thing. If they have, it’s going to be a class action lawyer’s wet dream.
This isn’t the first time Wyze has mixed up customers videos, and of course the Wyze “Shill” is going to say it’s made up
