Solar Panel Blocking Diode

Would anyone happen to know if the Wyze solar panel has a built-in blocking diode? Thank you in advance.

From other posts and issues maybe it doesn’t or was forgotten (or reversed) on a batch of them?

The Wyze solar panel reportedly DOES have a blocking diode. Mine seems to work fine.

I have read some reports about some of the early version solar panel v1’s having the blocking diode seem to stop functioning in some cases (the ones they started selling with the WCO’s launched). I haven’t noticed many such reports recently with the newer solar panel they switched to a while ago (I think they switched a little before the BCPros were launched).

I should have the newer version, bought it with a BCPro.

The reason I asked is that I am considering adding one at another location that is very wooded. It does get sun but unfortunately total sun exposure is split into a morning exposure segment and an afternoon segment, two different directions. A single panel can not be mounted to cover both angles.

It would be simple to mount two panels and combine them with a simple Y-cable but obviously don’t want the panels to feed voltage into each other.

I can always do ‘surgery’ on a cable, inserting diodes in-line if I want to be absolutely sure.

Thank you for the info. Much appreciated.
