Welcome to the Forum, @ainitlovely!
That really sucks about losing access to your camera. Reading your post, I understand that it’s no longer associated with your account, and you seem to indicate that someone else gained the ability (through physical access) to access it remotely, but I’m not reading that it was actually stolen, so I wonder if you’ve been able to re-establish your own access and ownership of the camera and its control. That bit’s unclear to me, based on what you’ve written.
I think that much also reinforces @dave27’s point:
So if you’ve been able to regain control of the camera, then I hope you’ve also taken other measures to protect it (if that’s possible given whatever its location and use might be). I’m unsure about the status of this, though:
That was discussed at great length last summer after a topic about a camera that was actually stolen prompted a lot of comments to a fix-it-friday topic that eventually led to this from Wyze:
I don’t recall ever reading a definitive date about that, so I can’t speak to whether or not cloud footage is currently accessible to an account owner if that person’s camera is physically stolen and connected to another account.
Please be aware that this is primarily a user-to-user support community and that Wyze does not actively monitor all topics. Having said that, my understanding is that they do try to track some categories, including the Wishlist, which includes this request that seems relevant:
Please feel free to visit that topic, hit the Vote button above the initial post, and share your ideas and use cases in the comments.
