I bought my first OG Cam a couple of weeks ago. I am seeing the same thing many others in this thread are. In my case, I cannot tell if it was caused by the latest fw update since I updated my cam to the latest when I initially set it up out of the box.
I am experiencing video stream lockup during playback SOME of the time.
If I have an event that I wish to watch, I can go back prior to the event, it will stream fine right up to about the time the camera sent me the notification, and then it will lock up. Tapping the screen to bring up the payback control overlay, tapping Pause, and tapping Play again will get it going but only for a couple of seconds and it stops again. This lockup at event notification is happening 100% of the time. This I find rather annoying since THAT is the moment I really need to watch!
I have also seen the gray screen others have described. Oddly, if I had the speaker set to ON, I can hear audio from the clip, but nothing but gray screen for video.
I have also experienced inability for video to load. I scroll back in time to a certain point and just see the spinning wheel with no video to load. I have left it go like this upwards of 15 minutes thinking it just needed more time. Usually at that point, I cannot even get out of that to go back to try something different - the app locks up, resulting in my needing to kill the app and restart it. I have had this happen a few times but not 100% of the time.
FWIW, I have not done any troubleshooting yet. I have been too busy to mess with it but I am glad to see that I am not the only one seeing this. This is on a brand new OG Cam with a brand new Kingston high endurance 128 gb card. I did reformat the card in camera using the app to try to resolve the issue but it made no difference.
As a side note, other than this hitch, I am completely and 110% thrilled with the performance of the OG compared to my V3s and Pan Cam V3s. Notifications from this camera are nearly instantaneous for me, it picks up on things the V3 it replaced never notified on, and the wifi connectivity is better in a spot far away from the router and inside of a steel sided outbuilding. The mount really is horrible though!
