Rotate image in 90° increments

I Need 90 degrees for my doorbell. It is the reason I am looking to return my Wyze doorbell and replace it with Blink. My home is full of Wyze products but … I can easily live with a rotated aspect ratio.

Is your doorbell mounted sideways? Or right side up? You want the Wyze doorbell to display 4:3 and not 3:4? What is your use case?

My doorbell is mounted vertically so I would like the display to be 4:3 not 3:4.
The way it is now I see more of the porch ceiling and not enough of the porch. Wis I could send you a photo but I think you got it.

Sounds like you need a wedge behind the doorbell to aim the doorbell down, not a software option to rotate the image. Am I on the right track? Something like this:

WOW! After 2 years of people requesting, Wyze still hasn’t add this option? This is like a must have since the customer has show that these cameras are mount in various position. RTSP took for ever to get but camera rotation selling point. Come on Wyze, implement it.

I don’t think Wyze really reads these posts….

Yeah, I’ve decided not to purchase other Wyze products if they won’t invest a few hours to fix a simple request that would make their products more user friendly.

No! I need a wider view rather than a tall view I NEED A 4:3 NOT A 3:4 VIEW
The wedge is not the answer. I need to rotate the view 90 degrees. I see the ceiling of my patio instead of the walkway. Please tell me it’s possible, without this I can not practically use the video doorbell.

There is another major issue: When the doorbell rings the App does not pop up so I have to loop for the App, open it scroll down to the video doorbell, launch it and wait for it to load. Am I missing something? Do I need to change the setting/configuration? I hope so.

Doorbell Pro add feature to rotate image 90 degrees

While installing the doorbell pro, I found that installing the doorbell horizontal gave me the best view. Problem is the image is now rotated 90 degrees in the app. When I turn my phone to see it, my phone rotates the image again. Just need an advanced setting to rotate the image 90 degrees. thanks

Unreal. 2022 and still no 90 degree rotation? Pffftt…

I just returned mine. bought a blink doorbell instead

Doorbell Rotation

Can you please do an update that gives the buyer the ability to rotate the wzye doorbell picture 90 degrees. We HAD to mount our video doorbell horizontally so then always have to turn the phone to see the picture when getting the doorbell alert. Thank you.

Hahaha 3 new posts in the last 3 hours for 90 degree rotation. Madness

Wyze you have been thinking about fixing this issue since at least 2018. That is 4 years or so ago. I hate having bought this thing, putting it on the side of my house only to find the image is sideways. So I have to macgruber a fix to make it display the way I want. I want this camera to be inconspicuous, I do not want any complaint letters from my HOA because they now see the camera and the angle iron. This is like a problem with setting up a Tivo system (their fix will never happen, you are stuck with the way it works and their tech support). Disappointing response to this problem. And I used the sticky donut already.

For the love of God, when are you going to enable 90 & 270 degree rotation of the camera so we can mount it on the wall and record "parallel "to the wall in portrait mode. So many of us are asking, and waiting…for portrait mode for long hallway type scenarios instead of being forced to use landscape view. You act as if It’s rocket science in order to enable it. Perhaps even…if you just let us rotate 90, 270 degrees and allowed just plain motion detection (no person, pet, etc) that would satisfy a huge majority of us. But, you have our money now, and it’s clear that you no longer care what so many of us are asking for.
Maybe if you quit re designing the wheel on other stupid products like a watch, floor lamps and vacuums etc… and got back to the core products that got you where you are today you could be a major contender in home security products.

Your camera mount design is very nice, but you murdered the final product by only allowing 180 degree rotation.

I have a magnet and mounted on the side of a metal surface and also need this.

I can stream over RTSP and fix this with other apps, only the Cloud app is the problem for side mounts.

90° rotation option

I find that I’d like to have a vertical view/recording option. I know I can invert the video for upside down mounting of the cameras (my girlfriend and I each have 3), but find that I’d like to have one record vertically (portrait style), vs. horizontally. Any chance of implementing that? Thanks.

This post was in 2018? How is this still not a thing? This is a little beyond ridiculous considering how many applications it can have. I don’t care about the aspect ratio problems.

I agree, this should be an easy.
