Rain sensor seems to be misunderstood

Hi! My sprinkler controller has a rainbird wr2 rain sensor attached, but the controller seems to skip due to the sensor most of the time even when on the smart program due to rain. Often it hasn’t rained in days and the sensor looks like the attached photo. Did I connect it wrong?

based on this article from Wyze → https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052569471-Connecting-Soil-or-Rain-Sensors it seems you would wire it red, black + white, green. I would try that and see if that resolves it.

Thanks so much for the link! I totally hadn’t seen that and now the sensor is working great.
