What about OI? Organoid intelligence, isnāt technically Artificial Intelligence in the sense of being a totally digital thingā¦OI may be a collection of biological neurons created from Stem cells to make 3D cultures of brain cells or biological hardware which is designed to perform computation tasks similar to traditional AI, but made of biological cells. These things actually exist, and some are interfacing these biological system to interface with traditional digital systems to create a hybrid form of intelligence that can leverage the unique properties of both. Thereās even a company called FinalSpark that lets you already right now rent computation from biological computers made of human brain organoids. You can access biocomputers right now for about $500/month and theyāre even more energy efficient than traditional silicon-based systems.
Then there is a totally separate kind of intelligence they are referring to as Substrate-Independent Mind, or SIM, which isnāt exactly AI in the traditional sense because it didnāt develop from scratch, but is rather a replication of a biologically evolved intelligence, most likely through digital consciousness or mind uploading methods. I am all here for the Bobiverse to come true.
We could settle for Augmented intelligence instead of AI.
Oh, what about swarm intelligence upgrades?
OK, fineā¦I was born a little too early to benefit a ton from most of that unless the technological singularity goes through the roof quicker than we think.
I understand how filters work, but itās not a ādirty wordā. Context and intent matter, especially when words have more than one inoffensive definition.
Thatās unfortunate. I donāt blame you personally, I just disagree with the decision, even if itās beyond your control. I do appreciate the explanation.
There wasnāt anything remarkable to miss, which is exactly the point.
Thatās because Discourseās filter automatically flagged it for moderation, so I imagine it wouldnāt have hit the outgoing e-mail queue until a Moderator had taken action on it.
Thanks! I put a lot of thought and effort into this one.
I hope no oneās trying to tell time by that unfortunate semblance of a clock in the picture. Yikes! I guess AI is failing the dementia screen.
I enjoy etymology. Many words we use today in common language were thought vulgar years ago.
That is what I concluded.
Itās a static artisitic clock. Sundown at that time must in some where in the the frozen north. Nothing really happens at 4 oā clock. 5 oāclock is more important.
I can tell. I can send you the other 53 images but @peepeep would croak, extremely.
The end of September and beginning of October should be an interesting time skyward, if we can get outside of the forum.
Some of these spatial gifts may not be seen by the naked eye. I didnāt realize that having a second moon happens often, but seeing a comet and a supernova would be cool.
The only thing important in the sky around here this week is the giving us 100 F+ temperatures for the next 5 or 6 days starting tomorrow. Might need another water container for Weeds &Water.
The best summer weather here is from the mid- September until about mid-October. Thatās why they always have Fleet Week here during that time frame, good flying weather for the gang from Pensacola. Maybe I can stick MFP in a Blue Angels flying machine for a fast ride.
