Pinch Zoom Timeline

I’ve tried zooming in on the timeline (when viewing playback) with limited success. The timeline (whether in portrait or full screen landscape) stays the same size. I’ll get two small arrows that appear, but that’s it.
I feel a little silly for asking about this since it’s a basic gesture control.

Anyone have a video of how this works?

What happens when you pinch out?

I should have titled the thread differently. When I pinch out, I get the two expanding arrows. After reading the reply, I tried pinching in and had two arrows facing inwards.
