Outdoor wireless camera

Please continue the production of the Outdoor wireless camera. We have them mounted in trees outside our property so we can monitor snow load and outdoor activity around our house. There isn’t power to the tree sites and I appreciate the small camera without being bulky. I’m unsure where else to request that the product be continued.

Have you tried the Battery Cam Pro? With those, you can hook up a Solar Panel to keep it charged or you can get additional batteries and replace them when needed. Asking as I have found these cameras to be a great addition to my setup. I also have removed the older Wyze Cam Outdoor devices as the BCP connects directly via WiFi, no hub required.

Just curious

I have not tried the Battery Cam Pro. I like the size of the small outdoor cam as I have them discreetly placed into the pine trees outside our home. No one sees them and they are easy to place in a small location. I only have to charge them once every three months - no batteries required or solar addition.

I too like the cube shape of the Wyze Cam Outdoor

I currently only have one WCO v2, and seven WCO v1s

I have four base stations.

Interestingly enough, I’ve got a WCO v2 and a Battery Cam Pro with solar panels connected to both. They sit side by side, watching a field for wildlife. The WCO v2 is recording to the Cloud, a deer that grazes in the area at night, while the Battery Cam Pro does not. (oddly, the Battery Cam Pro turns it’s spot light on as it sees the Deer, and sometimes actually records it to it’s MicroSD Card) (The WCO v2 benefits from the spot light from the Battery Cam Pro when recording the Deer).

I think the Battery Cam Pro is a nice piece of hardware, but if its not going to record simply stuff like this deer grazing while the older WCO happily records it to the cloud… makes me wonder which camera is superior to the other.

FYI, the WCO v2 is still available for sale on Amazon last I checked.
